Dear Brethren,
Greetings in the mighty Name of Jesus. I trust that you and your family are well.
At a time when the whole world is gripped with fear and in constant bombardment with statistics and the news of deaths, it is accurate to say that we are living in interesting times. However, as Christians, we can be confident of God’s love for us and His commitment to protecting His children wherever in the world they may be.
God has already been preparing us for the events we now see unfold. You may recall our mandate at the start of the year to meet daily for prayers throughout 2020.
A constant feature of our prayer and fasting programmes in both 2019 and 2020 has been a declaration of faith that “we and our families” would be exempt from any plague or calamity that comes upon the earth.
I also prophesied in 2019 that financial devastation was coming upon the earth and that God’s people who align themselves with the covenant practice of scripture would be able to escape it. These things are happening now.
But what is God saying? “DO NOT FEAR!” God has always provided a way of escape for His people, so do not fret!
However, the Bible teaches us in Romans 13:1 (NLT) that “everyone must submit to governing authorities...”Therefore, in light of the scientific advice on social distancing and directives from the UK government on reducing the size of large gatherings, Impact Gospel Centre (IGC) will implement the following changes to its programme with immediate effect.
These changes will remain in place until such time as we are able to confirm safe resumption of our usual activities and programmes in accordance with government guidance.
1.Church Attendance – All physical attendance at IGC church services is hereby suspended until further notice.
2.Sunday Services – Our services will be delivered online through live streaming on IGC’s YouTube Channel. The online service will be specially customised to enhance our worship experience.
3.Wednesday Bible Training – The Impact Bible Institute (IBI) will maintain its usual structure, but conducted individually by members with their families in their various homes. IBI Bible teachers will ensure that each member attending these classes receives the relevant study material. We may consider online streaming of teachings and services to support these changes in future sessions.
4.Daily (IP500) Prayer – Our daily prayer meetings will hold each evening at the usual time of 7 pm. Church members will be able to participate in these prayers from home, using established prayer outlines supplied by the church.
5.TIC Convention – The Impact Convention (TIC), IGC’s annual conference (originally scheduled to hold on the 15th – 19th of April) is now postponed until further notice.
6.Church Meetings – All departmental and small group meetings are suspended until further notice.
7.Church Office Administration – The Church Office will remain open with a revised (opening and closing) schedule, to be communicated via our website in the next few days.
Church leadership is continually monitoring the situation and will continue to provide much-needed information on a timely basis. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions on our response to this rapidly evolving situation.
Please continue to follow the sound medical advice issued frequently by Public Health England (PHE) and our dedicated health professionals working tirelessly within the National Health Service (NHS). Remember that frequent handwashing and maintaining a safe distance of 2 metres from other people when in public places is crucial to our nation’s effort to fight COVD-19 and to protect the elderly and vulnerable in society.
We are acutely aware that the occurrences of the past few weeks are unprecedented in the history of the world. I call upon you to stand your ground in prayer and declare the Word of God in faith.
May the Lord continue to protect you and your family in Jesus name. Amen.
God bless you
Pastor Deji Fayoyin
